I just used the service last night (6/12/08) to convert an FLV to a WMV. All seemed to have converted properly (according to website) but Media Player says it cannot play the file. A little digging resulted in this from Microsoft's help pages:

You've encountered error message C00D11B1 while using Windows Media Player.

Most of the solutions pointed to possible audio problems with the local machine (which in my case is not the issue). The last "solution" mentioned is that the file is possibly corrupt.

So, Moderators/Tech Support folks:

I see 2 possibilities, and 1 clue -
1) Original FLV is corrupt (although it does play on the website I got it from)
2) There is a bug in the WMV conversion. The clue is it may have to do with audio, and/or Header information:
Original Error Code C00D07E2
Original Error Message ASF_E_INVALIDHEADER

I hope this helps someone figure out what's happening. Thanks.
BTW - I'd attach the source file, but it is 40 MB....

MP4 to Cell, No Video!

Hey all,

I have downloaded a youtube video as an mp4. I can double click the file on my pc and it plays the video and audio just fine. So, I go to the "Send File to Mobile" section, browse for the file, click it, then the message "File Extension can correspond to more than 1 format. Please select the exact input format." appears twice.

Next, I click the drop down for "Input Format" and go under "Movie", then select MPEG-4 (.mp4).

Then, I proceed with the conversion. Finally, I take my cell phone to that webpage, enter the code, and save the file.

When I go to open the file (of which I have tested a few times), it will play the audio as normal, but there is no video to accompany the audio.

Didn't know if I was possibly missing something, or if you have any suggestions.
