I just used the service last night (6/12/08) to convert an FLV to a WMV. All seemed to have converted properly (according to website) but Media Player says it cannot play the file. A little digging resulted in this from Microsoft's help pages:

You've encountered error message C00D11B1 while using Windows Media Player.

Most of the solutions pointed to possible audio problems with the local machine (which in my case is not the issue). The last "solution" mentioned is that the file is possibly corrupt.

So, Moderators/Tech Support folks:

I see 2 possibilities, and 1 clue -
1) Original FLV is corrupt (although it does play on the website I got it from)
2) There is a bug in the WMV conversion. The clue is it may have to do with audio, and/or Header information:
Original Error Code C00D07E2
Original Error Message ASF_E_INVALIDHEADER

I hope this helps someone figure out what's happening. Thanks.
BTW - I'd attach the source file, but it is 40 MB.... Smile

Try to convert your file to AVI (using Windows DIVX preset in the select box)

"Try to convert your file to AVI (using Windows DIVX preset in the select box)"

Does this mean you're not going to try to fix this?
